On Thursday, the AFC rivals L.A. Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders will open up Week 15 of the 2023-24 NFL season. Kick-off is set 8:15PM ET at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.
This season, many teams have used their back-up quarterbacks to replace an injured starting quarterback but some time ditched its No. 1 because of poor performance. Both the Chargers and Raiders will meet with their back-up quarterback leading their team.
The L.A. Chargers will be without injured QB Justin Herbert. He fractured his right index finger and will be out the remainder of the season. Back-up QB Easton Stick will start for the Chargers against the Raiders. He gallantly stepped in for their injured starting QB in the 2nd quarter during their last game against the Broncos. With QB Easton Stick doing the quarterback chores, the Chargers would like to improve more on their struggling rushing attack to provide a balance to the team’s offense.
The Las Vegas Raiders also have a quarterback dilemma. They could stay with Aidan O’Donnell, who began on the bench this season but was elevated as a starter in their last five games. In consideration for this game is to let play former starting quarterback turned back-up Jimmy Garoppolo. Interim coach Antonio Pierce will evaluate the team’s quarterback position and would let the fans know who will start on the field against the L.A. Chargers.
