On Thursday, the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida will host THE PLAYERS Championship. This is the 3rd tournament of the "Florida Swing" schedule by the PGA Tour. THE PLAYERS Championship was moved back to March for the first since 2006.

All players expect changes in the course, the weather will be cooler and wind will be coming from the north side. These changes could mean a slow pace of gold since the ball doesn't fly as far if the tournament was held in May.

Tiger Woods will resume his PGA Tour season after skipping last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational due to a neck strain. He is the only player who won THE PLAYERS Championship in March 2011 and May 2013.

Tiger Woods has continued to improve his season with steady finishes of T20, T15 and T10. His progress means that his first 2019 PGA Tour win is just around the corner.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Dustin Johnson as the man to beat on Sunday's final round of THE PLAYERS Championship.
