2019 PGA Tour: Rocket Mortgage Classic June 27, 2019 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the Detroit Golf Club in Michigan will host the inaugural Rocket Mortgage Classic. It is a new tournament in the PGA Tour and professional golf finally returns in Michigan after a 10-year hiatus. The Buick Open was the last tournament held in Michigan in 2009.

The 7,334 yards par-72 golf course has a back nine that could produce lower scores but a tougher front nine will make challenge all golfers.

World No. 2 Dustin Johnson will start the tournament at 1:05PM ET together with Travelers Championship winner Chez Reavie and Patrick Reed.

Rickie Fowler, Charles Howell III and Kevin Kisner who each have tournament wins this season are group together and will start at 7:35AM ET.

While the group of Bubba Watson, Hideki Matsuyama and Billy Horschel will tee-off at 7:25AM ET.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Dustin Johnson as the odds on favorite to win the Rocket Mortgage Classic on Sunday noon.
