On Thursday, the Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, NJ will host the 12th edition of The President's Cup. This is a match play event between a team representing the United States and an International team representing the rest of the world minus Europe.

This tournament will have 12 players on each team that will play foursome, fourball and singles matches. There are 30 points up for grab in 9 fourballs, 9 foursomes and 12 singles matches in this 4-day event. A team only needed to get 15.5 point to win the President's Cup. In 11 President's Cup, the United States has won 9 times, the International team has won 1 and 1 tied match.

The United States' team captain is Steve Stricker with Fred Couples, Davis Love III, Tiger Woods and Jim Furyk as captain's assistants. The 12-man US team will be bannered by Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Daniel Berger, Brooks Koepka, Rickie Fowler, Kevin Kisner, Patrick Redd, Matt Kuchar, Kevin Chappell, Charley Hoffman and Phil Mickelson.

The International team will be headed by Nick Price with Ernie Els, Tony Johnstone, Geoff Ogilvy and Mike Weir as captain's assistants. Hideki Matsuyama, Jason Day, Adam Scott, Louis Oosthuizen, Macr Leishman, Charl Schwartzel, Branden Grace, Si Woo Kim, Jhonattan Vegas, Adam Hadwin, Emiliano Grillo and Anirban Lahiri will complete the 12-man International team.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the United States team as the team to beat in the 4-day President's Cup.
