2011 NFL Week 4 AFC Match Up:New England Patriots vs.
Oakland RaidersOctober 12, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Sunday, the New England Patriots moves to California as they play the Oakland Raiders at the O.co Coliseum for an important AFC football game. Kick off is set at 4:15PM ET.

The New England Patriots hopes to bounce back from a 34-31 loss against the Buffalo Bills last Sunday. Things looked good in the 1st half for the Patriots as they raced for a 21-10 lead. But in the 2nd half the tables were turned and as the Bills managed to clamp down on defense by forcing QB Tom Brady to uncorked 4 costly interceptions.

The Patriots must find a way to help their quarterback run the offense flawlessly; their offensive linemen must hold their ground in order to give Brady a more precise passing attack. Mixing a good running game can also prevent the offense to be predictable.

The Oakland Raiders are coming off a 34-24 win over the New York Jets. It was an important win for the team since it gives them confidence that they could mix it up and beat a high-caliber team like the Jets. The win against the Jets proved beneficial since their next game is against the Patriots.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the New England Patriots as a 4.5-point favorite to win against the Oakland Raiders. There's a chance for an upset win if the Raiders could work as a group and believe that they could beat another elite team on 2 consecutive weeks.
