The Nurburgring has a circuit length of 5.148kms. To complete the 60-lap race, the winning driver will log a total of 308.863kms in race distance. Michael Schumacher owns the fastest lap record of 1:29.468 which he set in 2004.
Midway into the season, the RBR-Renault team continues to dominate its rival Mclaren-Mercedes and Ferrari. The RBR-Renault team leads the constructor's championship with 328 points followed by McLaren-Mercedes' 218 points and Ferrari's 164 points.
RBR-Renault teammates Sebastien Vettel and Mark Webber currently hold the 1st and 2nd place position while Ferrari's Fernando Alonso sits at 3rd place. Mclaren-Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton and Jenson both are in 4th and 5th place respectively.
