2010 NFL Week 14:Indianapolis Colts vs.
Tennessee TitansDecember 07, 2010 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the struggling Indianapolis Colts visits the Tennessee Titans at LP Field in Nashville for an AFC South match up. It would be a heated battle between two teams who are fighting out to stay in the playoff hunt this season.

The visiting Colts are having a difficult season and are in a three-game losing streak. They were beaten by the Patriots, Chargers and Cowboys in three consecutive weeks. During those losses, QB Peyton Manning has compiled costly interceptions that led to their losses.

The Colts defensive line must hold fort in order for QB Manning to survey the opponent's defense before he decides to throw the ball. In their last three losses, QB Manning was forced to throw the ball hurriedly as the Colts offensive line can hold on their opponent's blitzes and pass defense.

The Titans started the season with a lot of promise but are slowly fading away from the spotlight. They are mired in a five-game losing streak and have not scored a touchdown in 13 straight quarters. With their offense sputtering, most opponents have an easy time shutting down the door on the Titan's offense.

The Tennessee Titans are in last place in the AFC South with a 5-7 record. But playing at their home turf could give them a sense of urgency and pride to beat the sputtering Colts. A win against the Colts could inspire the Titans to end the season on a high note.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Indianapolis Colts as a slim 3-point favorite to beat the Tennessee Titans. The Titans may gamble in the game to force QB Peyton Manning to misfire with the game on the line.
