2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series:Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500June 28, 2010 by Marc Jerbs

On Sunday, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series moves to Pocono Raceway for the Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500. This would be the 2nd race of the season hosted by Pocono Raceway. The tri-oval racetrack has a track length of 2.5 miles.

Last week, Jimmie Johnson was denied a third consecutive Brickyard 400 win by Jamie McMurray. Johnson started 2nd place at the grid by eventually finished in 22nd place. McMurray earned his second win of the season after winning the Daytona 500 last February.

Kevin Harvick still leads the driver's standing with 2920 points followed by Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Jeff Burton, Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart, Card Edwards, Greg Bifle and Clint Bowyer.

The 5 drivers who still have a chance to secure a spot in the "Chase for the Sprint Cup" segment are Mark Martin, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Ryan Newman, Jamie McMurray and Kasey Kahne.

The auto racing handicappers have installed Denny Hamlin as the favorite to win on Sunday. Hamlin has the advantage in terms of the correct car set up for the track since he won the Gillette Fusion ProGlide 500 race which was held at Pocono Raceway last June.
