On Thursday, the 2010-2011 NFL season opens at Louisiana Superdome. The "Superdome" is the home turf of the defending XLIV SuperBowl champions, the New Orleans Saints. This would be a fitting tribute for the SuperBowl champs as they face their archrival Minnesota Viking in a NFL opening game. This would be a replay of last season's NFC Conference championship game wherein the Saints prevailed over the Vikings.

The Vikings are itching their way for payback against the Saints. An opening game against the Saints is all they have wanted. These game should start with a lot of atrocities and hard hitting tackles.
With QB Brett Favre coming back for another shot at redemption, the Vikings are still a formidable team in the NFC. The Vikings are considered as the second-best team in the NFC with all key players healthy, right behind the Saints. However, they will have numerous problems in the season due to key player injuries; QB Brett Favre's is still recovering from his injuries and a brutal schedule in the first half of the season against the last year's playoffs bound teams.
The sportsbook handicappers have installed the New Orleans Saints as the favorite to beat the Minnesota Vikings. A win against the Vikings would start their season on the right note. But, a primetime loss is associated more of a SuperBowl hangover.
